The first step

Come meet Deedee.

A free, twenty-minute visit to see whether Prime Direct Health is a fit. No exam, no insurance forms, no pressure. The easiest first step into a primary care practice you'll take in a long time.

Deedee greeting a patient with a handshake in an exam room at Prime Direct Health in Gilbert

What it is.

A free, 20-minute conversation with Deedee, our nurse practitioner, in the Gilbert office. You'll get a tour of the practice, talk through your health situation, and learn how Prime Direct Health works. By the end of it you'll know whether this is a fit.

The meet & greet is on us. There's no charge, nothing to pay, no insurance information to provide. If it isn't a fit, you walk out and we wish you well.

What happens in those 20 minutes.

Less mysterious than the average primary care visit.

First few minutes

A real introduction.

Deedee meets you at the front. You sit down in an exam room or in her office. She introduces herself. You introduce yourself. The vibe is closer to meeting a new neighbor than checking in for a procedure.

The middle

Your turn to talk.

She'll ask what brought you in, what's been on your mind health-wise, what hasn't been working with your current setup. You can be honest. People who haven't seen a doctor in years are her favorite kind of conversation.

The walkthrough

How Prime Direct Health actually works.

She'll walk through the model: what your monthly fee covers, how to reach her between visits, what labs and medications cost, how to use Prime Direct Health alongside your insurance. You'll get the answers without the sales pitch.

The end

Your call.

If it's a fit, you can sign up that day. If you want time to think, take it. No pressure either way. If it's not a fit, no hard feelings and we hope to see you back if anything changes.

Book your meet and greet.

Pick a time that works for you and you are done. Twenty minutes, in person, nothing billed and nothing to sign. You choose the day and time yourself and get a confirmation right away.

Things people often ask.

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no charge for a meet and greet. We don't bill insurance for it. It exists so you can decide whether Prime Direct Health is the right fit before you commit to anything.

Will there be a physical exam?

No. The meet and greet is a conversation, not a clinical visit. You'll keep your shoes on. If you decide to join, your first full visit afterward is when we get into your medical history, lab work, and any actual care.

Can I bring my spouse, partner, or a family member?

Yes, please do. A lot of decisions about health care happen as a household. It's helpful for both of you to hear the same information at the same time. Just mention it when you schedule so we know to set out an extra chair.

What should I bring?

Nothing required. If you have a list of medications you're currently on or any specific questions you've been holding onto, bring those. No insurance card needed.

What if I show up and decide it's not for me?

That's a normal outcome and it's fine. We'd rather you be honest than sign up because you felt pressured. Walk out, owe us nothing, and call us back if anything changes down the line.

What if I want to sign up that day?

You can. Enrollment takes a few minutes online. We'll set you up with a card on file, get you onto the schedule for your first full visit, and you're a member.

If you decide to join

A quick onboarding step.

Once you decide to join, there's a short intake before your first full visit so we have what we need to actually take care of you.

What we collect: a list of any medications you're currently taking, payment information for your monthly membership, and your insurance card if you have one (kept on file so we can coordinate with hospitals, specialists, and any labs that route through your insurance; we never bill insurance ourselves). A couple of forms for medical history and consent round out the paperwork.

You can handle onboarding online before you walk in, which most people do. Or you can do it in the office, especially if you're signing up right at the end of a meet & greet. Either way, the goal is to get it done before your first real appointment so the visit itself stays focused on you.

After you sign up.

What being a member actually looks like, week one.

01

Your first full visit.

30 to 60 minutes. We get into your full history, what you've been dealing with, and what to do about it. If you've never had a provider look at the whole picture before, this is that visit.

02

Labs, if needed.

Drawn here, billed at near cost (typically $5 to $25 for common lab work, compared to $50 to $200 through insurance). You'll see the price before we order it. Results come back to your provider, not to a portal that says "all normal."

03

A real lab review.

Deedee walks you through what each number means and what's worth paying attention to. The conversation isn't optional and isn't rushed.

04

Direct contact.

You'll get the practice's direct phone and message channel. Questions between visits don't require another appointment. We respond within the same business day or sooner.

05

Records transfer.

If you've been seeing another provider, we'll request your records. You don't have to chase paperwork. You can stay with your previous provider as long as you want during the transition.

06

Follow-up.

If anything from your first visit needs a check-in, we schedule it. You don't have to remember to call. The practice that knows your name also remembers your plan.

Rather just stop by?

You're welcome to call ahead and come see the office in Gilbert. We'll put the kettle on.
