Care for women

Women's primary care, done right.

For women managing their own health and often a family's. Well-woman care, hormones, perimenopause, mental health, and the annual that finally has time for the conversation.

What women come to Prime Direct Health for.

If your situation isn't on this list, ask. Most things are.

The annual you actually want to keep.

Well-woman care that makes time for the conversation, the lab review, and the questions you didn't know you could ask.

Hormones that don't feel right.

Perimenopause symptoms that started showing up in your forties. Mood, sleep, weight, libido shifts. We hear you out and run the actual evaluation, not "you’re just stressed."

Weight loss with medical backup.

GLP-1 weight loss handled inside your primary care relationship, with attention to where you are hormonally.

Mental health that gets real attention.

Anxiety, depression, perimenopausal mood shifts. The 13-minute provider has no time for this. We do, and we'll refer for substance concerns or anything more complex.

Contraception and family planning conversations.

Birth control consults, preconception conversations, and basic reproductive health. We refer to OB/GYN for prenatal care, IUD placement, and anything that needs an OB.

The chronic stuff that often affects women.

Thyroid, iron deficiency, autoimmune flares, migraines, PCOS, IBS. Conditions where being heard and having a provider who digs in makes a real difference in the plan.

The well-woman exam

An annual that earns the visit.

The annual is the foundation of women's care here. It's structured around what matters at your stage of life, with enough time to dig in.

A real physical: vitals, heart, lungs, abdomen, lymph, breast exam, and pelvic exam when you're due for one. Pap smear on the schedule current guidelines recommend for your age. HPV testing where indicated. Lab work that goes beyond the basics: a metabolic panel, CBC, lipid panel, A1c, thyroid, vitamin D, iron studies if your symptoms suggest it.

Then the conversation. Not just "any concerns?" but time to talk through menstrual changes, sexual health, contraception, mood, sleep, energy, weight trajectory, and anything else on your mind. Family history gets a real look, especially around breast, ovarian, and colon cancer.

Then the lab review. We sit down, walk through what each number means, what's trending, and what's worth doing about it. The kind of conversation that doesn't fit in a 13-minute slot.

Mammogram coordination when you're due. We work with imaging centers that often offer lower rates than what you'd see billed through insurance, and we help you schedule it and keep the results in your record.

Hormone therapy

Hormone therapy for perimenopause and menopause.

For women in perimenopause, menopause, or other hormonal transitions where things feel different and the answer most providers give is some version of "you're just stressed" or "it's part of getting older." It usually isn't just stress, and the patient who knows something has shifted is almost always right. At Prime Direct Health, your primary care provider runs the evaluation, walks through the results, and manages your therapy if it's the right call. The same provider handling your blood pressure, your annual, and the rest of your health.

What evaluation looks like

A real conversation about symptoms, history, and goals. Bloodwork as appropriate (FSH, estradiol, thyroid, others depending on your situation). A look at the personal risk factors that influence whether hormone therapy makes sense for you and what form is the right fit.

What treatment looks like

We offer both bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and traditional hormone replacement therapy (HRT). BHRT uses hormones chemically identical to what your body produces. Both can be safe and effective. The right choice depends on your situation, your preferences, and your risk profile. Treatment forms include creams, patches, and pills. We also handle targeted symptom management for sleep, mood, vaginal dryness, and bone health when those are the priority.

What monitoring looks like

Regular check-ins to see how you’re responding. Symptom tracking, dose adjustments, lab work as appropriate. Hormone therapy can shift other things (mood, sleep, weight, blood pressure, lipids) and someone who knows your full health is the one who should be watching.

Visits and dose-adjustment conversations are included in your $90 monthly Prime Direct Health membership. Lab work is billed separately at near-cost, well below what you'd see through insurance for the same tests. Medication is billed separately at transparent prices through the pharmacy. You see the price before we order anything.

What your provider is paying attention to.

Different things matter at different stages. Here's what your annual is built to catch.

In your 30s and 40s

Reproductive and family planning conversations. Thyroid and iron studies (often missed elsewhere). Cardiometabolic baseline. Mental health gets the same attention as the rest of your health. Early perimenopause signs sometimes start showing up in your late thirties or early forties. Family history starts driving what we screen for and when.

In your 40s and 50s

Perimenopause and menopause management, with all the things that come with that. Mammogram screening on a regular schedule. Colon cancer screening starts at 45. Bone health begins to matter. Cardiometabolic management gets more active. Sleep and mental health get specific attention because both shift during transition.

In your 50s and 60s

Postmenopausal management, including hormone therapy if it's been part of your plan. Cardiovascular risk evaluation continues. Bone density screening on schedule. Breast, colon, and skin screening continue. Memory and cognitive concerns get attention if they come up. Medications get reviewed regularly so the list doesn't quietly grow.

How costs work.

Visits

Included in your $90 monthly Prime Direct Health membership. Annual physicals, sick visits, follow-ups, lab review, telehealth, and direct provider access by phone or text.
